Our Technical Director is traveling, visiting clubs in the Middle East and Europe. In the past month, he has placed five players, including two goalkeepers who are currently on trial at Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany 🇩🇪, Djurgårdens in Sweden 🇸🇪, and Millwall FC in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, with one more trial to come. His first stop was Al Wahda in Abu Dhabi, UAE 🇦🇪. This was his first time spending time at a club in the Middle East. “It’s a fantastic setup led by top European coaches who pay great attention to the details of the sessions. This past week our academy partner The Athletic Football Group (AFG) had the amazing opportunity of welcoming 4 coaches from European Pro Clubs for its very first Goalkeepers pathway project held at the Veneto Club Bulleen. We would like to express our gratitude to the amazing line up of coaches that spent the week training rising goalkeepers from across the state Rudy from Paris Saint Germain FC 🇫🇷, Arthur from Watford FC 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, Sharre from Djurgårdens IF 🇸🇪 & Gédéon from SC Heerenveen 🇳🇱. The display of skills was nothing short of epic! Shepparton Cup! We wanted to share some exciting news from the Shepparton Cup. Our amazing team of under 8's, who were actually put together on the day of the competition, did us proud and came out as the runner's up in the Copa plate. They had an incredible weekend, and what's even more impressive is that they played most of their matches without any substitutes!! We want to give a special shoutout to Coach Jason for holding it all together. Great job, Jason! Another highlight from the tournament was our fantastic under 13's team. They dominated their matches and ended up winning the Plate without losing a single game. How amazing is that? They handled every situation that came their way and finished the tournament with a perfect record. Congratulations to the team and Coach Wes! In addition, our AFG partners achieved a remarkable victory in the Under 14's Copa title. They went up against a New Zealand Academy in the final and came out on top. What makes this win even more special is that all but 3 of the 14 players in the squad are either current Williams Landing players or alumni. Talk about representing our team with pride! We can't forget to mention the swashbuckling display our team put on in the final. It was a sight to behold! Well done to everyone involved.
